A night with the Bee's! July 5th, 2008

On July 5th, Emily, mom, dad, and I went to our first Bee's game! It was a lot of fun. We each got a snowcone, and since they allowed us to put on our own flavoring, I destroyed it. I should've let Emily do it because I melted all the ice and pretty much drank pure sugar "tiger's blood" juice. Otherwise, we got to annoy our neighbors with the cool sound banger things. Yet Emily decided to use her razor long nails to puncture the one I'm holding in the picture after the game. Ah, it was great, her nails really can be dangerous! :) After the game, there were amazing fireworks to celebrate the 4th. They played instrumental music (my favorite) to the fireworks. They were the best I've seen in a while. The boys had better socializing things to do, but it was a great time for the four of us. Go Bee's!

Pitching tent in the backyard

In May, Chantel and I decided to pitch a tent in my backyard, eat popcorn while watching a movie on her laptop, and play cards. Well needless to say, the popcorn got eaten, but we were unable to finish the movie due to limited battery power. :) So we ended staying up late and talking. While we were talking we could hear raindrops starting to fall. We didn't think anything of it and fell asleep. But at 5am, we awoke to pouring rain and you can tell from the picture we didn't tuck the tarp in. So we were sleeping on a huge waterbed. It was awesome, it was so squishy! It finally started leaking through and got Chantel's pants wet so at 6am, we retreated to the house. I called Bryce on his cell phone and he let us in. All in all, it was a great adventure!

Viva California

Hola! After graduation, my best buddy Chantel and I decided to take a week road trip to California. But not only did we go to San Francisco, we traveled down to LA and went to Disneyland, Hollywood, and I went to my first pro baseball game (the Angels). It was really fun. We had a great trip! We saved a lot of money by staying with people Chantel's parents knew and we also were able to eat with them a lot of the time. And you can't have a road trip without a ticket, well I guess you can, but! :) Yes, we did get one, on the way to Disneyland out of all places. haha, yah, we made a right turn but we didn't see the "no right hand turn" sign on the light pole. It was not in a good spot and the darn cop wasn't kind to us out of staters. So he ticketed us. But we still had the happiest time of our lives at Disneyland.

In San Francisco, we biked across the Golden Gate bridge. It was really fun! But Alcatraz was all full by the time we got there, so we still need to do that some other time. And to sum our trip up we met Reed in St. George and went fourwheeling in Hurricane with Chantel's sisters family. It was a blast!

Graduated from BYU - as a Nurse!

Yeah! I am finally done! Can you tell how excited I am by the picture. I took these by myself, impressive yah! After 5 years at BYU, I graduated with my bachelors in science in Nursing. What an accomplishment! It feels so nice to accomplish something you've looked forward to your whole life. Except they dont' prepare you for the real, real world outside of college. It's funny, they always say the real world "is college". I found it hard to move to Salt Lake in the fact that all my roommates were so independent and I really had to go outside of my comfort zone to meet new people. But all in all, I love it now and I love my job working in the Infant Unit at Primary Children's Hospital. It was always a place I wanted to work and I'm so grateful I was able to hire on right after my capstone there. My managers and co-workers are great, I love my new job! I'm learning a lot and loving life as a nurse.
