Brrrrr...it's cold in Utah!

We huddled while waiting for the trax train! My friend Laura Ostlund (or aka "the Eskimo") received free tickets to the Jazz game Wednesday night from her work and asked us to join her! Yeah! Lis Taylor (on my left) and Erin Johnson also came! Girl's night! Our guy friends were jealous when they found out we weren't available to do anything that night. P.S. I wish I would've known a crazy storm was on its way in cause I would've worn better shoes...and socks! We walked out of the arena to a winter wonderland! Come on spring...I know you are almost here!

Elizabeth's Bakery & Tea Shop

Kate, Kelsey, me, and Lis sipping our cups of tea and eating our delicate, scrumptious pastries!
Girl's brunch! Sarah Jolley, Laura Ostlund, Jessica Smith, Kate Weaver, Kelsey Emery, myself, and Lis Taylor. We had a splendid time sipping our tea and eating our scones and crumpets this afternoon! We ordered herbal tea to share and then we each ordered either a scone, a quiche, a pasty, or my favorite and a must have, a crumpet! The place is so dainty and cute! The wall is lined with different tea pots, english decorations, and a cute bench lined with pillows! Our favorite decorations we found were the English rubber ducky and the rubbish bin tea pot!

Elizabeth's Bakery & Tea Shop! It's located across from Trolley Square on 7th East in Salt Lake City!

The bench and cute pillows! Oh it was so fun!

And next door is the London Market! We all bought a chocolate treat and were tempted to buy a Harry Potter wand!

The rubbish bin!

I'm in love with the telephone booths! I think they are so cute! Isn't this picture cool, found it online! Love it! Someday I will travel to England...hopefully soon!

Alta High School got "Jimmered" by Neal!

Video Courtesy of KSL.com

It wasn't the premiere match-up of the night but it turned out to be one of the best games of the high school basketball season. It took three overtimes to determine a winner when Alta hosted Pleasant Grove on Friday night. Neal made a "Jimmer Fredette" three pointer to tie PG back up, which sent them into a third overtime with Alta! Sadly, they lost, but had they not had 4 of their 5 starters foul out during those three overtimes and had the goal tending call been made, they would've won! Way to go Neal, what an amazing shot! Oh and did you see me...I'm the confused spectator who wasn't sure who made the shot for PG. It was only a few seconds later after they caught me on video that I found out it was my brother! I was trying to take a picture on my phone, the only one out of the whole game, and that's when Neal decides to take that shot! Naturally! Gotta love the game!

Jimmer Fredette! Go BYU!

What can I say, but, Wow! A friend of mine from BYU posted this comment on his facebook profile. "Chuck Norris once challenged Jimmer Fredette to a game of basketball, with the loser having to grow a beard." Loved it!
Jimmer scored 43 points last night in a 71-58 victory over fourth-ranked and previously unbeaten San Diego State!

It's so fluffy!

It's true...I just saw Despicable Me for the first time last night, but I love Agnes! I fell in love with her lines..."It's so fluffy" and "It's so fluffy I'm gonna die"! Also the minion saying "What?" and Gru saying "Liiiiggghhht bulb" and "You will not cry, or sneeze or barf or fart. No annoying sounds"!

A sledding and boarding excursion up Emigration Canyon!

Yesterday, my friends and I went up Emigration Canyon to test out Sarah and Jessica's new sled. I was excited because I haven't been able to use my awesome snow tube yet this year! So we all got our gear on and carpooled up to the canyon. Adam Gwyn and Justin Rae brought their snowboards, while Sarah Jolley, Jessica Smith, Zach Hayes, Aspen Anderson, and I sled down the mountain. We had so much fun! We parked one car down at the bottom of the canyon and then sled down. Sadly, my tube only made it one out of two runs! It liked to head towards the trees and I think it caught one. No worries, it will be either repaired or replaced...most likely, replaced!

Adam Gwyn going off one of the jumps on his snowboard! Justin shot all the pictures, so sadly there are no pictures of him, but he was amazing snowboarding down the mountain, while holding his expensive camera. Talented!
Sarah holding our rudder, which we tried to use to help us steer our sled, but it was no use! The mountain naturally angled to the right and so that's the way our sleds wanted to go (into the trees), yet our second run we kept heading left (into powder)! Can anyone explain this phenomenon?
I'm headed down a path lined by trees, yet what you can't see is Zach just down the path. I'm saying "Zach...watch out". This was the fatal end of my tube, after I almost hit Zach, I stood up and noticed the tube was no more.
Sarah and Jessica coming down the trail!
And now for the takeout pictures...oh they were great! Sadly Justin didn't have his camera when I began heading down the steep part of the mountain backwards, hit a few jumps and went airborne. I came down and was fearing for my safety! My hat and tube landed about 20 feet up the hill from me, while I landed sprawled out! Yet these pictures all do justice of our crashes! So much fun!
Sarah and I caught up in each other as we tumbled off the sled!
This was the worst one, we just laid there after we rolled and rolled!
I'm beginning to stand up, wow! Sarah is still down, oh man it was a blast!
We're okay! Oh and Sarah still has the rudder, bonus points for her!
Zach and I heading down the hill, we're contemplating bailing out soon cause there was a creek covered in snow up ahead!
Zach and Jessica
Walking down the untrodden path back to the car after a good run!

Justin captured the exact moment of me jumping the creek! I love this picture!
The group starting the second run. Adam is strapping into his board, while we're deciding where the best place is to start on our sleds!
An old car buried in the freshly fallen snow! All credits for the awesome pictures go to Justin, he's amazing with a camera!
