Getting our casts on...literally!

I had been looking forward to this day in the BYU NP program for a long time! We had so much fun learning how to cast. And yes, half of us casted with a cast on!

A weekend in Hanna, UT!

The landscape was awe strikingly beautiful! The snow resting against the red rock, horses, and really old tractors...woot! My friends Aubrey and Camilla have a house in Hanna that we were able to stay at, play games, and watch "The Choice" over and over and over again. Seriously, I think it was watched at least 5 times in the space of a day. It was the only dvd in the house. Haha!

I brought my snowshoes and used them! Even though the snow was pretty packed down, why not?!

I just had to get up on it!

We had a photo shoot...and it was fantastic!

I love these girls, they are my best friends! From left, Lacey Reynolds, Aubrey Turnbow, Camilla Turnbow, and me! (not named are a few I'm not sure of their names) haha :)

Exploring the sights of Yellowstone!

I got pretty close to this bear...ok, not that close, but close enough! All I had to do was outrun everyone else right?!? And there were at least 50 people gawking at this guy from off the side of the road.

I passed...my graduate project/thesis defense!

I passed!!! What a huge relief and blessing! I was able to work with the best woman in the world on my project (Dr. Beth Luthy) and I had the best committee to assist me along the way. I'm so grateful for my family and friends for their constant support. I can do hard things!

My committee! Lacey Eden, Beth Luthy, me, Janelle Macintosh, and Renea Beckstrand.
We like to have fun too!
The family (yes Neal has a mowhawk...ugh)!
Emily Dunn and I celebrating the fact that we are...done!

Lexi "Lexers" Jane Anderson

I just love this girl! She was born January 22, 2016, 6lbs 2oz and 17 inches long. She's currently 3.5 months old, has just discovered her hands, doesn't enjoy tummy time, naws on pacifiers (won't take them!), has dealt with jaundice, reflux, and colic in her short 3 months of life. But she has the cutest smile and is my "baby girl"!

Food for thought!

My life is crazy right now, but this quote helps put everything into perspective! I'm working part-time, two twelve hour shifts per week at Primary Children's, I'm in class two days a week at BYU, and I'm in clinicals at least 7-14 hours a week. Plus a girl needs a social life! All in all, I feel exhausted. But I know this is temporary, I'm loving my FNP program! When life gets tough, I read this and it gets easier. Keep going, it will all work out. :)

A Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! Mom and dad had reserved the week up at the Marriott Mountain Resort in Park City, so we swam, snowboarded (just me), and we shopped! We all had a great time!
