Robin Hood...let me just say, amazing!

An awesome show! I went with a big group of my friends. My friend Jaclyn (who I went on my cruise with, if you remember her) set it up to meet for dinner at Settebello's, which is an amazing pizzeria napoletana. I ate my whole pizza! I guess you could say it had been a long day at work and I was hungry! I really liked the restaurant and the movie...and of course it's set up for a sequel! A must see!
Robin and his men!

Robin taking on an entire army, he's that much of a man!

Yet, I am a huge fan of this version of Robin Hood! I love Kevin Costner!

And this furry fox is another one of my favorites! A classic! "Robin Hood and Little John runnin' through the forest, jumpin' fences, dodgin' trees, and tryin' to get away! Oo-de-lally...oo-de-lally...golly what a day!"

Got guts? Give hope...a concert for Patrick Hoopes!

This beautiful little boy...is Patrick Hoopes! Patrick was born with short-gut syndrome, missing more than 95% of his intestines, and doctors say he will not survive much longer without a rare intestinal transplant. Paul Cardall and some of his friends are putting on a concert Saturday, May 22nd at 7pm at the Eisenhower Junior High School (4351 South Redwood Road, SLC) where all proceeds will benefit Patrick's transplant! Please come if you can...I have personally experienced this little boy's spirit and it's contagious! The pictures are worth a thousand words!

I love this picture, he loves his green binky with the monkey attached to it. They actually make them that way! He also has it attached to a lanyard which is always around his neck. He'll never lose that binky!

I love that smile!

He always has a grin on his face no matter the conditions!

Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure 2010

What a race! It was a blast! There were over 16,659 participants showing their true color...PINK! Even the men "manned up" by wearing PINK shirts, bandanas, hats, capes, and bras (no really!). The event raised over $213,772.23 for breast cancer research! Amazing! My friend Amanda and I ran, yet they didn't time it but we think we got somewhere between 25-27 minutes! The race started at 3rd W and North Temple in downtown SLC, went up to 9th N, curved to the left and came back down 2nd W to end at the Gateway Shopping Center. As we ran into Gateway, there were people lining the shops cheering us on, yet it wasn't too far into the center that the race ended and Amanda and I looked at each other and said "that was it"! I guess that's a good feeling, we could've gone more!

A map of the 5K through downtown SLC!

Pre-race! We had fun checking out the groups of people running for family members, friends, and loved ones! We spotted some pretty funny people...check them out below!

Now this group is just cute!
5 minutes to race time! FM100 was there playing music and getting the runners warmed up! Ok I have to say that when they mailed me my shirt and number, I thought "wow, how was I so lucky to get the bib #2010"...and then Amanda informed me she had the same bib #. All 16,659 participants had the bib #2010! Haha! :)

Now you may not be able to see the massive street filled of runners in the distance, but it was quite a sight to behold!

Look who we found after the race...Ronald McDonald! Sweet!

Ok this was one of our favorite groups of people...showing their SUPPORT!

And this guy was only wearing those shoes, cape, and the fancy PINK "whatever it is"! Luckily we weren't able to get a picture of his front side, blessing!

And our highlight after the race...the free giveaways! I know you're jealous of the hats! We also got coupons for free loaves of bread from Great Harvest, creamies, Fuze drinks, fruit, yogurt, flower seeds, bandanas, apple slices and caramel, and fruit! Amanda and I were all about the giveaways!

I'm officially running...the St. George Marathon!

Out of a record breaking 11,000 registrants...I was chosen along with 7,399 other hopeful 2010 St. George Marathon runners! I'm pretty excited! The last time I ran this marathon, well it was my first one, was in 2006! Yet this year will be great! My younger brother Bryce, or Elder Anderson, returns home a month after the marathon! And I registered with my two friends Chantel and Amanda, along with Emily and Neal! We all got in, as well as my dad who gets in every year! That's the 10 year club for ya, something to look forward to! :) The race is on October 2, 2010, so come cheer us on!

Happy Nurses Day! May 6th :)

I love being a Nurse! I am allowed to take care of precious angels like this one my friend and co-worker Kat is holding! This was a special day, we were sending her home! Hopefully, pray she now gets a new liver! I love and appreciate all my nursing friends and co-workers! This is my life!

Hiking up the snowy trail in Millcreek Canyon!

A week ago, my roommate Lindsay and I drove up Millcreek Canyon (as seen above) for a day hike. We both had the day off and decided to make an afternoon of it! The day was a little overcast, but we had high hopes! It was a nice, beautiful day for a hike, but we had no idea how snowy the trail would still be.

Exhibit A...This section of the trail had the longest stretch of snow, and yet just a bit past this area, the trail was dry, green, and full of flowers growing. Who knows what is going on! The snow did pose a challenge, but nothing us two girls couldn't handle! I just wish I had spikes on the bottom of my shoes or poles! I kept wishing I had my snowshoes on my back so I could whip them out when we came upon snow!

Oh yeah! Can you see the trail?

Lindsay enjoying the outdoors and snow!

Victory! Our view from the top of the Salt Lake Overlook trail! Hello...Salt Lake City!

We're here! We had a lot of fun! It's a really nice hike, one that I often do on my days off! And if you own a dog, you'll fit right in, because everyone brings their dogs on this hike! I feel like I need to get a dog! Hmmmm... :)
